T-tape

Diagram Terms

A: Safety first. If you like to cut the T-tape after applying it to the skin, this could save yourself from cutting too low. Just run a surgical marker along the crease/fold.

B: B for Backing Paper. In this featured image shows disposable backing paper. Reusable backing would be kept longer by not trimming the sides or to only trim the short side. Parchment paper, silicone release paper, sticker paper, kinesiology tape backing, deli meat roll paper, these are the types of paper to use for a slick non-stick coating. Try to find one that only one side is slick. Kinesiology tape is a good option for a source of thick reusable backing paper.

C: T-tape cut off rectangle(T-cor). It's the corner end of the T-tape if you prefer to precut the T-cor of your T-tapes. With this method, marking the safety line isn't as important.

D: Adhesive Strip of the T-tape that sticks to the skin. On the other side of the fastening area is the other half of the Adhesive Strip. The top part of the T, for why it's called (T)-tape.

E: The split ends of the T-tape. This end gets torn down the middle so that one split goes on the inner tape and the other split goes on the outer tape. Keep them aligned with the adhesive part of the T-tape.

F: F for Fastening Area. O-rings, suspender clips, rubber bands, these grab onto this portion of the T-tape. Normally there are no silicone conical outer grippers to fuss over.

O: The O-line. This line runs parallel to the safety line and marked on the fastening area. I been marking it about 1/2 inch above the safety line. This line helps align the fastening area to the O-ring. Doing this will better help the scar-line adjust more symmetrically as the skin grows.

Other T-tape Terms

POE: Point OF Equilibrium. Essentially this is the point of tension that evenly tensions the outer and inner skin when only using T-tape and an elastic tension strap or weights. Taping like this helps keep the T-tape on and lasting longer while only using T-tape. And if you're using a T-tape device, you can seamlessly switch between inflation and classic T-tape tugging.

POD: Point Of Distance. The distance it takes to tape away from your usual POE area. Doing so helps heal the skin from dryness and soreness. If POE was your first knuckle from the fingernail, then the second knuckle would be your POD. Simply, to tape lower closer to the pelvic bone. If taping at POD, a T-tape device must be used either with dual tension or inflation. Without a device the tape will only tension outer skin and slip off. I noticed while taping at POD and implementing inflation I was able to inflate more skin at once.

T-tape: Named after the letter T. When viewing T-tape from the side the letter T should become quite obvious for why it's called that. Is T-tape a device? I think of it as a disposable device like how there are disposable razors. Having A T-tape device is like owning a flashy shaver with detachable blades. Those detachable blades being T-tape. T-tape in a nut shell is a Foreskin Restoration method without any fatigue build-up even while inflating. It can also make a great retainer, O-ring keeper, or for use while tugging during sleeping hours. T-tape is a disposable restoration device where the Peacock is a T-tape device.
